The writings of the Angelic Doctor, St. Thomas Aquinas, are replete with contemplation of God the Creator and His creation. Despite the distance of eight centuries, the study of St. Thomas’s work still gives us philosophical and theological insight into the order and beauty of the universe. What’s more, there are still numerous connections between Aquinas’s philosophy of the universe and contemporary discoveries about the cosmos. In this series of four talks, we will explore the fundamental principles of Aquinas’s doctrine of God and creation both in their own right as well as in relationship to modern science.
